New Patent for IMMMULITE^® 2000

This fall, DPC was notified by the US Patent Office that the Company will be granted a patent on the IMMULITE 2000 immunoassay system. The Company has four issued patents on various subsystems of this instrument. IMMULITE 2000 was released for commercial distribution in March of this year.

IMMULITE 2000 is a second generation, high-throughput analyzer for the hospital and private clinical laboratory. It provides analyses of exquisite sensitivity for substances in blood such as hormones and cancer markers. Over 250 systems have been shipped to laboratories in the US and in 27 other countries around the world. Over 3,500 units of the successful IMMULITE® have also been placed in laboratories in 67 countries.

IMMULITE has the largest menu of any automated immunoassay system with over 80 available assays. It is anticipated that the IMMULITE 2000 test menu will soon be as extensive as the IMMULITE test menu.
