DPC has released the third in a series of training CDs for IMMULITE® 2000
operators. Titled "The Troubleshooting Trail," it presents the concepts
and procedures associated with routine troubleshooting.
The CD is divided into six lessons that give operators essential skills
to work through problems. Some of the topics covered include interpreting
the error log and analyzing data. The lessons are presented in a linear
fashion and each builds on the previous lesson so that operators gain
confidence and experience before facing a case study challenge. The CD
permits review of any sections whenever desired.
Designed to appeal to the many learning styles of our customers, the interactive
CD features text, film, animation and sound. It can be run on any Windows®
95/NT computer system so as not to interfere with operation of the IMMULITE
2000.
With the DPC zebra as the guide, the CD is designed with a safari theme
and challenges trainees to blaze a path along the troubleshooting trail.
The lessons are displayed on a "Trail Map" that allows the lessons to
be viewed in order or randomly. Trainees encounter a few obstacles along
the way and are given all the tools necessary to help solve the problems.
Upon successful completion, operators receive a certificate and are eligible
for continuing education credits. The easy-to-read instructions give all
the information necessary to obtain these credits.
It is DPC's goal to provide you with educational tools to help keep your
current and future staff updated. The modular training series will continue
with a CD introducing allergy assays on the IMMULITE 2000-an innovation
that will make allergy testing "just another routine assay."
