October
of 2000 witnessed a DPC milestone with the 1000th US placement of an IMMULITE®
system. The Kaiser Permanente Regional Laboratory in Berkeley, California
welcomed its third IMMULITE 2000 system to enhance its testing for thyroid
and other hormones, tumor markers and esoteric markers. The same facility
had received the fourth IMMULITE system placed in the US back in 1993.
A luncheon reception and the presentation of a commemorative plaque at
the Kaiser facility marked the occasion.
DPC is very grateful to its entire customer base in the US for the opportunity
to serve them. The Kaiser Permanente Regional Laboratory in Berkeley is
a longtime DPC customer and is representative of this customer base.
DPC strives to forge lasting business relationships with all of its customers
through service and innovation. Continuing in this tradition, DPC expects
to place the 2000th IMMULITE system in the US by late 2003.
