EURO/DPC
Wins Queen's Award
For Export Achievement
The
staff at EURO/DPC Limited was proud to be presented with the Queen's Award
for Export Achievement. This prestigious award recognizes British companies
that have demonstrated substantial and sustained increases in export earnings.
As
part of DPC's family of manufacturing facilities, EURO/DPC has grown considerably
over the past 12 years. The company originated in Oxfordshire and now
operates from a 110,000 square foot facility in Llanberis, Gwynedd in
North Wales. The company employs approximately 250 people and exports
products to 58 countries. Export sales accounted for 78 percent of the
firm's total revenue in 1997. Sales turnover has increased by 250 percent
over the past 3 years.
Employees
and the Welsh community share in this award. Success could not have been
achieved without the hard work of the employees, the continuing support
of our parent company and the help of public and private sectors in the
North Wales business community. In addition, the company strives to ensure
that our facilities meet stringent manufacturing guidelines and that efficient
support personnel are available. This support involves technical engineering
and scientific areas, as well as direct customer support through a dedicated
customer services group.
Representatives
from DPC's Los Angeles headquarters, DPC distributors and local dignitaries
from North Wales attended the presentation ceremony which was held at
the EURO/DPC facility in June.
EURO/DPC
receives the Queen's Award for Export Achievement for noteworthy increases
in export earnings. The Queen's representative, the Lord Lieutenant of
